Saying that I was frightened was an understatement. No, I was more terrified than anything. Hanji was backed into a corner and holding a broom to fend him off while he glowered- no glared at her. Boy, if looks could kill, Hanji would be a pile of ashes right now.
Am I confusing you? Sorry, I tend to get ahead of myself at times... here, let me start off at the beginning, before all this happened:
~Earlier that day~
I sighed as I was making coffee for my... boss. God, it was so weird calling the guy that; he's only a couple years older than me. Yet, he's one of the best working men in this entire business.
And then there's me, fresh out of college, and instead of going out and getting a kickass job somewhere, I am an assistant at Titan enterprises, working under Levi Ackerman. I can't complain though, as crappy as this job can be, doing all of Levi's orders, I get paid... a lot. Enough for my girlfriend, (f/n) and I to live in this amazing apartment. No, not any apartment, we just so happen to live in The Sina apartments.
...What? Don't tell me you've never heard of it! Have you lived under a rock?! Well, if I must, I suppose I should tell you; the Sina apartments are probably the most expensive apartments to live in, some of the richest people live there, and both (f/n) and I get the honors to live there.
The coffee maker beeped, shaking me out of my thoughts. I filled up the white mug which had the words 'Worlds Best Boss' in bold black letters in the front and added the creamer to it before trudging off to Levi's office. I rapped on the door a couple times and heard Levi's voice from the other side.
"State your name and business," He sighed out.
"Sir, it's me, Eren Jaeger. I'm here with your coffee as you requested," I answered quickly.
"I was waiting for you. Come in." I opened the door and walked in, closing the door quietly behind me before going over to his desk.
"Here you go," I mutter before handing him his cup, to which he grabs and holds it in that awkward position of his and takes a huge gulp of it. He hums, approving of it and the corner of his lips twitch upward slightly.
"I have to say, not half bad Jaeger."
"Thank you, sir. Is there anything else I could do for you?" I question, Levi opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by the door being slammed opened. I'm surprised the damn thing didn't fly off the hinges.
"LEVI! EREN! AH THERE YOU ARE!" A voice practically screamed, causing me to jump and Levi to wince. She skips over to Levi's desk and leans against it, her hands placed under her chin to hold her head up.
"Oi, shitty glasses, the Hell do you want?" He asks, scowling at her.
"I need you two to help me with an experiment of mine!" She answers, putting her hands on her hips and flashing a grin at the both of us.
"Hell no. I'm busy; get Eren to help you," Levi mutters, taking a sip out of his mug.
"But I need the both of you! Please? Mike is on his break right now and I can get him to do your work while you're with me!" She pleads, clasping her hands together and pulling her best puppy face. Levi raises a brow and sighs.
Hanji jumps up and claps, "Oh yes thank you so much!" Levi sighs and starts walking out the office, Hanji trailing behind.
"Hey don't I get a say in this?" I question, causing them to stop walking and look back at me.
"No" They both say in unison.
I pout at the two of them and follow them over to an elevator. I was really nervous about what will happen. I've met Hanji once or twice and we've talked a couple of times, after the first time I realized how much of an... interesting... character she is; always hyper and in the best of moods. She's one of the most important workers here, she's the one who does all the experiments and is a super smart scientist at this place, she's the type of scientist that specializes in animal and human experimentation. But sometimes, the experiments can get out of hand.
'I wonder what might happen if I inject an elephant with 297 milligrams of LSD, 3,000 times more than what a regular human user would take!'
... The elephant died an hour later.
"Alright! We're here!" Hanji said, grabbing Levi and my arm and steering us over to some tables. She hands Levi and I some vials and backs away slightly, biting her lip in excitement. Levi's vial being a green and mine silver. We stare down at the vials and look up at Hanji, silently requesting some further instructions for what exactly we were supposed to do with these. Hanji threw her head back and groans loudly before walking towards us and tipping the vials towards our mouths.
"Drink it!" Hanji says. Levi glances down at the vial and raises an eyebrow.
... Cue Hanji's loud groan once again.
"Because I want to see what happens!" She shouts.
"What is your hypotheses?"
"You don't care! Wait... you're just wasting time so Mike can do more work!"
While they continue their conversation I glance down at the vial. Hanji wouldn't kill me right? I shrug and decide that I trust her enough and put the vial to my lips and throw my head back, drinking the strange liquid. Hanji notices and then shoves the vial in Levi's already opened mouth and forces him to drink the green liquid. When he finishes he spits out the vial and coughs.
"Oi! What the Hell was tha-" He was cut off by him suddenly losing his balance and falling over. I suddenly get hit with a wave of dizziness and fall over also. The dizziness lingers for several seconds before suddenly going away. I opened my eyes-
'Wait, when did I close them?' I shake the thought away and stand up, only to find myself face to face with...
"Ahh what the Hell!" I yell before falling back onto the table, knocking over some empty test tubes. I stare at the guy... err me... only to find a shocked expression on his face.
"Why the fuck do you look like me?!" I shout, pointing a shaking finger at the look alike.
"Oi, the Hell are you talking about, you look like m-" Eren #2 stops talking immediately, looking over my shoulder at something behind me. I turn around to look at what it was exactly to find a mirror. I look at my reflection only to find... Levi.
"Why am I you? Why are you me?! WE SWITCHED BODIES?!" I shout, patting my -Levi's- face and swiftly turn around to look at a now grinning Hanji.
"I knew this would happen," Hanji said, pausing to throw her head back and laugh, "I'm a genius!" Levi glares at her and she stops laughing only to look at him in fear.
"Turn us back." He demands. Hanji lets out a nervous laugh and scratches the back of her neck.
"Well... you see... I didn't make a solution to fix it because I wasn't so sure that it would work- which is why I called you in here and-"
"You didn't make a solution," Levi repeats plainly. Hanji sheepishly smiles before running away, Levi right behind her.
And thus, the reason why Hanji was backed into a corner, holding a broom, and trying to fend of a livid Levi, who so happened to be in my body.
Before Levi could kill Hanji in my body, I step in and hold him back.
"Hey! No hurting Hanji in my body! I don't want to be the one in jail when we switch back! And if she is hurt she can't do the solution!" I say, trying to cool off Levi. He stares down at me for a second before sighing and shrugging my hands off of him.
"How long until you can make this shit?" He asked, glaring at her still.
"Two to three weeks," she answers. My mouth drops open.
"Oh? And what the FUCK do you expect Jaeger and I to do that entire time?" He asks through clenched teeth.
"Pretend to be each other?" Hanji suggests, smiling sheepishly.
"Hey, that's actually not that bad of an idea... we should really keep it secret though, I mean, if we told everyone, they'd start freaking out and get super confused."
"Besides, who's going to believe you switched bodies? They'd think we're bullshitting them," Hanji adds. Levi hesitates a moment before nodding.
"Alright," He mutters.
"Alright?" Hanji and I repeat in shock that he'd agree that easily.
"Isn't that what I just said? Besides, it's not like we have many options," He answers.
"True. Should we exchange information and whatnot?" Levi nods once before searching for a couple pieces of paper and something to work with.
"I think this could work out just fine," I say, smiling.
Boy, how wrong I was.
